Mari Visnapuumägi – pianist
Mari Visnapuumägi graduated with honors from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EMTA) in 2018, earning a master’s degree in vocal chamber music and accompaniment under the guidance of Prof. Helin Kapten. She also completed her master’s degree in piano interpretation in 2016 under the supervision of Lauri Väinmaa.
Her previous education is connected to Tartu – Tartu 1st Children’s Music School, Heino Eller Music School, and Miina Härma Gymnasium.
As a concertmaster, Mari has worked in various capacities, including Raivo and Mihkel Peäske’s flute classes at EMTA in 2017, Hanna-Liina Võsa Music School from 2016 to 2021, Pärnu Järvi Academy since 2018, and as a choir concertmaster and orchestral pianist at the German-Scandinavian Music Week in Scheersberg since 2016.
In Estonia, she has premiered works by many young and renowned composers (Scott Miller, Hans Gunter Lock, Märt Matis Lill, Marianna Liik, Liina Sumera, Sander Pehk, Maria Kõrvits, Pärt Uusberg, Joosep Trumm, Einike Leppik, Markus Leppoja, etc.). As a freelance concertmaster, she has collaborated with numerous singers, instrumentalists, and choirs.
Mari is also active as an educator, teaching both classical piano and accompaniment. Since 2022, she has been teaching at her own piano studio in Tallinn Old Town and Merivälja.
